It’s a heartbreaking statistic, but Food Banks Canada reports that food bank usage is at its highest level in history, with nearly 1.5 million visits last year. In fact, in 2022, they reported that 33 percent of food bank users in Canada were kids, yet they only make up 20 percent of the population. Subway® Canada believes that no kid should be worried about where their next meal is coming from; rather, they should be focused on kid problems – like getting their basketball down from the rim of the net.
To help kids focus on kid problems, Subway Canada is launching the fifth milestone year of its Never Miss Lunch® program by committing its largest donation yet to help provide 185,000 healthy food packs to children across Canada over the summer break, when many school programs end. And this is where you come in: on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023, Subway Canada will be hosting its annual Never Miss Lunch Day by donating $1 from every Footlong purchased in Subway restaurants across Canada.

Have a think and enter the Never Miss Lunch Sandwich Wrap Design Competition by submitting your original art by June 18th. For every drawing submitted, Subway Canada will donate $1 to its Never Miss Lunch program to help feed even more kids in need. Four winners will be chosen later this year, and elements of their designs will be integrated into limited-edition sub-paper wrapping, which will be used in restaurants nationwide.
