It’s an all-suite property with high-end finishes at reasonable, family-friendly prices that make longer-term stays and family vacations easier than ever.
The property features an expansive pool, Caribbean views and beach access, delicious views and even an enticing gym that makes staying fit on vacation easy. On-site kiddie pools, a massive hot tub and a playground sweeten the property. take advantage of the pool toys and floats staff has quietly tucked away.
Other family-friendly features abound, too. Just ask for one of the best baby cribs to be ready in-room when you arrive.
Where is the Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba?
The brand new Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba is perfectly located in the High Rise section of Aruba on the popular Eagle Beach. It’s straddled between some of the world’s best resorts, a two-minute walk from the island’s gorgeous Butterly Farm and about a five to 10-minute walk from some of the most sought-after restaurants and shopping.
When did the Embassy Suites Aruba open?
When we say the Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba resort is brand new, we mean it. The property just opened in May of 2023 and visits are just gearing up. Everything looks and feels pristine—none of the rooms or main areas have so much as a hint of wear or tear. We think it’s Aruba’s best-kept secret.
Our Embassy Suites Aruba review
We stayed in a double queen suite that offered more than enough space for us to live, work and relax for several nights. Truly, it was like a small apartment and was better than a typical hotel room because we had the freedom to buy some of our own foods (we’re a little particular with our diets and eating habits!) from the supermarket about a mile down the road and have them as needed.
Aside from that saving oodles of cash—it just added loads of convenience. No need to rally the troops to head downstairs or to walk the 10 minutes or so into town when snack cravings kick in. Just head to the little kitchenette that’s about five feet from the room’s sofa and munch away on whatever.
In our case, it was yogurts, fresh grapes, apples and melon. Gotta eat healthy even on vacation, right?
Between the kitchenettes and included breakfast, you really only need to sort dinners out—and that’s a major time and money saver if you’re a normal family with picky-eating toddlers or kids focused on specific food groups. When you get down to dinner on-property, the choices aren’t plentiful but they’re all genuinely good and well thought-out. We’ve eaten at loads of resort restaurants throughout the Caribbean, and genuinely, the Embassy Suites Aruba was the first one that offered good food.
If you ask me, it’s because they don’t focus on offering hundreds of menu items—they have a handful of appetizers, entrees and desserts offered each night and that’s it. And each is well-executed.
Eagle Beach, just across the street, is loaded with sugary white sand and tranquil turquoise waters. It’s gorgeous, serene and semi-private. Waves are gentle and easy to navigate for little ones, so pack your toddler water shoes and sunscreen.
The only downside is that you have to cross the street from the hotel to get to the beach and bring your own towels. There’s an on-site towel and beach chair office next to the pool so you can grab whatever you need and go, but it’s a little bit of a hike if you’re pushing an umbrella stroller with little ones in tow. For my 10-year-old and me, it was easy-peasy.
What makes Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba ideal for families
The gorgeous, brand-new pool with ample seating and lay-flat sun beds are a major pull, but it has to be the totally free, included breakfast buffet and suite-style rooms that make feeding and caring for little ones a breeze. Seriously, if you went off-property for a comparable breakfast anywhere else it would be at least $35 USD per person. For a family of four, that adds up to about $140 per day (plus tip!) and eats into your budget quickly.
We love that everything is brand new, super clean and the staff is extremely accommodating. Seriously—every weird menu request we made was honored (and we made a few in honor of my allergy-prone 10-year-old daughter). The prices are also reasonable and value far outweighs just about every other property on the island.
Really—we walked into a variety of other hotels, including some of the top-rated all-inclusive family resorts in Aruba like the Riu, and found that the Embassy Suites Aruba blew the competition out of the water in terms of staffing, cleanliness, design and less crowding.
