“You’ve probably heard of the Diva Cup, but maybe not Nixit. It’s a newer reusable, made-in-Canada period product on the market, aimed at women who value sustainability (and saving money!) through reducing the plastic and packaging waste of disposable pads and tampons. We love the bright and bold packaging design (it also comes with a handy cloth carrying case). The website has lots of how-to help and FAQ for those who’ve never tried a silicone cup, and it’s a great time to try it: we’re all avoiding public bathrooms in a pandemic, so a cup that lasts up to 12 hours (or 70 mL; the equivalent of four tampons) is a huge plus. And if you’re working from home right now, this also means no awkward fumbling and washing of the cup in your office bathroom.
