Gladskin Eczema Cream Review – Today’s Parent

For anyone who suffers from eczema—that’s reported to be over 30 million people, by the way—working your way out of a flare quickly becomes top of the priority list. Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a pesky chronic condition that affects adults and children. (Pro tip: gift a newborn some preemptive eczema cream because I swear they all come out of the womb with it.)

I have been a longtime sufferer of eczema and now my two-year-old daughter is too, so I’m pretty up to date on my lotions and potions in this department. I hadn’t heard of Gladskin eczema cream before, but now I’m glad I have—it’s been a game-changer for both my child and me—and our various eczema symptoms.

What is Gladskin eczema cream?

Gladskin cream is one of those products that once you know it exists, you might not be able to live without. It is specifically formulated to combat eczema, attacking those rough, red and dry patches with a moisturizing and steroid-free cream.

It contains Micreobalance, a proprietary protein that gives skin its natural microbiome back as it moisturizes, a key step in restoring the skin barrier.

The brand believes so much in this protein that they claim that they conducted a study. Patients who used Gladskin eczema cream at least once a day for two weeks (ages seven months to 57 years old) ended up having a 65% reduction in symptoms by day three and a 91% reduction in symptoms by day seven.

It is hypoallergenic and fragrance-free skincare, which is key for eczema sufferers. It’s available in two sizes: 1.7 ounces and 3.5 ounces.

Gladskin eczema cream can be used anywhere eczema flares occur, such as your hands, underarms, or elbows. It can even be used on the most sensitive of areas, such as your face and eyelids.

It’s gentle enough to use multiple times a day and is safe for children as young as three months. The brand hasn’t done any testing for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so you should check with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and having an eczema flare before using Gladskin.

Gladskin eczema cream features

Face eczema is something I’ve battled with on and off for years, and as it’s my most sensitive skin, I’m always weary to put something on it that could irritate it further. Gladskin, however, is totally safe for my face and feels good. There is no burning or clogging pores. It’s eczema relief that doesn’t bring up a whole other set of skin issues, and I’m grateful for that.

I recognize and can pronounce most of the ingredients in Gladskin eczema cream, with the top four being water, soy-derived glycerin, petrolatum and mineral oil, all proven in helping the skin retain moisture and protect the skin microbiome.

The only-found-in-Gladskin Micreobalance seems to make a big difference in helping repair skin faster than just using traditional sensitive skin moisturizers, too. And if you’re not having a full flare-up, it works wonders for those with generally eczema-prone skin.

Two very big things I noticed that I don’t see often in other creams are the fact that there’s an expiration date on the bottle and that you really don’t need a lot for it to work. The expiration date is clutch because expired products can further irritate skin, and if there’s no expiration date and you don’t have an insane memory, you might not be able to pinpoint when it’ll go bad.

Not needing a ton of product for it to work was something I had to get used to; I’m used to liberally slathering creams onto myself and my daughter. And frankly, I love this feature.

Things to consider about Gladskin

It is a little on the pricey side, but if you use it judiciously it should last you a full three months or to the expiration date, whichever comes first.  It does feel a little tacky immediately after applying, but that feeling fades within a few minutes.

Does Gladskin really work?

If you suffer from atopic dermatitis, as I do, then you need to know that Gladskin for eczema really works. You can see results in as little as three days if you apply it consistently. By week two, my eczema was mostly cleared up and my natural skin was looking great.

The Gladskin baby and kids cream has been extremely helpful for my daughter who has hand eczema. She still puts her hands in her mouth a lot, so I’m glad to know that this product is gentle and safe, unlike the steroid cream options the dermatologist has given us.

Gladskin eczema cream can be purchased directly from the brand’s site. While you’re there, check out its newest product, Eczemact Body Lotion, an everyday body moisturizer that can help keep your appendages in tip-top shape. The kids cream is available online as well, and if you’re ready to go all-in on Gladskin you can purchase bundles of moisturizing creams. Plus, most orders qualify for free shipping.
